Hidden Market

I was new to booth renting but not the salon business. I had worked for a corporation for 3 years and paid attention to their marketing strategy. I learned to call clients whether new or existing about a week after their service to check and see how things were going. It gives them the opportunity to bring up any questions or issues they may have had. Thank you card are a big part of that as well, especially for a first time customer. Birthday cards are a nice treat as well with an offer for a free cut, or their usual service during their birthday month.
I also found that donating discount coupons to places like the safe house or homeless shelters were very much appreciated. Sending out mailers for clients who had not been in for 90 days as a reminder to schedule their appointment. Grab bags are also a great ides, get a bunch of inexpensive little things like sample shampoos, nail products, files travel size brushes and do a grab bag, maybe do one especially for men if you have a lot of guy clients do this maybe 3 or 4 times a year they love it!
