Good
Customer Service Skills Gives You An Unfair Advantage
Implementing good customer
service skills
is by
far the most underrated element of a business today. So I want you to
think
about all the various shops that you visit.
Do you like to go back to
those store’s that don’t
acknowledge you and one of the words they use the most is ‘next’. Or
would your
preference be to those stores where the owner has taken the time to
develop a
relationship with you and it’s a pleasure to see and talk to them again.
And then tell me this; which
type of shop do you
spend the most money? I mean over the year, how many more times do you
go back
to the one that delivers the best value to you?
I believe that you will
realize that providing good
customer service skills is key to clients coming back again and again.
So we
need to
concentrate on providing excellent value to our clients.
One way to really step forward
is to send a thank
you card to each client or even first time visitor.
(As you can see there’s plenty
of room for
you to write a personal note on the card for each client.)
The reasons to use these cards
are many, like:
- This really lets them know you
care, more than just telling them
- This keeps your name etched
into their memory, just how many shops that you visit do this for you?
That’s my point
- This is a very inexpensive
marketing tool; a post card and you just write something short on it,
use a post card stamp (about $.25) and you’re done
- This will give your clients
something to brag about to their friends
- This provides extra value to
your clients, and emotional value is something that you can’t buy
- This is incredibly easy to do
I have already done all the
work for you all you
have to do is click the order button above and tell me how many you
want, and then you'll impress your clients with your good customer
service skills.
So let’s look at how much
you’re spending on your
clients, let’s see $.35 + $.25 gets you a post card and stamp. That’s a
whopping investment of $.60 for a customer that’s spending at least $40
to $50
minimum with you each time they come in.
Of course if it’s a man maybe
his haircut is only
$25, but still the advantage is to you to send him a post card as well.
Have
you read about ‘Lifetime Customer
Value’
yet? Look at the Education
page of my
site and learn just how much each of your clients is worth to you.
The more you utilize good
customer service skills with your clients the more your business will
grow and become
recession proof. Because people are still going to get their hair cut
but, they
will use the professional that delivers the best value (emotional
always
proceeds intellectual). So when you over-deliver in this area you are
the one
that they will come back to and that is exactly where you want to
position
yourself.
