Customer Service Surveys Tells You Exactly What Your Client Thinks

So by using customer service surveys you can satisfy them and build loyalty to you and you only.

This is another of those tools that many people know about and never (and I mean never) use. But, that's about par for the course for small business people.

This is good for you and bad for your competition.

Let me tell you a little story about how this website came into existence. My wife went to a new salon and met the owner and through the course of my wife getting her hair styled the owner asked her if she knew anyone that could help her with some marketing. She needed more clients and was looking for ways or ideas to bring them in.

My wife (I should introduce you ... Sissy) told her 'yes' my husband does marketing. And so of course Sissy comes home and tells me about it and I say okay I'll talk to her - schedule me an appointment for a cut and we can talk at the same time.

So we meet, and by the way the stylist/owner is very good at what she does and has been in business for quite a while. And this is important to
all ... she still needed more clients! So we talk for a while and I give her some suggestions of how to immediately bring in more revenue.

Now let me also explain that the owner tells me that she doesn't have much money to work with. Well I understand small business finances; I mean I've gotten that t-shirt and wore it out, so I say to her "that's okay we can work something out ... don't worry about it."

So let's cut to the chase; after 3 months she doesn't know what she wants to do, she might move, she might stay there, she might ...ugh.

And I go on my merry way, except for one important little caveat. I begin to research hair stylists and salons and find out that there isn't much available to teach them how to market themselves or their salons except for some very expensive courses that are on the market.

So I began to write an ebook which explains exactly how to bring in more customers, then turn them into loyal clients and make more money. And then of course to develop this website, because I really want to help people to do better, as a matter of fact ... if you can learn to color and cut hair, you can certainly learn to succeed in business.

Okay, by now you're wondering where in the world does customer service surveys come into play, and that's a good question. I developed a survey and began to send it all over the country to friends, and friends of friends about their experience at salons, and wow did I find out a few things about what women want and even expect when they come in to see you.
And if you'll put a small survey together, you'll learn some things as well.

Now I will give you the ingredients to making your customer service survey work for you:
  1. think of three or four questions to ask your clients when you are finishing up with them
  2. write them out on a card
  3. put them on a clip board as you bring out your planner to schedule their next appointment.

What, you don't schedule their next appointments with them while they're in your chair? Why not? Try it on for size this week and see if you can't begin to book your next month in advance, and by all means ... begin to take some customer service surveys!
