Customer Service Skills Make Your Clients Feel Special ... And Makes You The Hairdresser Of Choice


Your customer service skills can be proven very easily by the service that you give, especially when you over-deliver. And that statement is not something to worry about because it’s really quite easy to give more and better customer service then most all other hairdressers.

How many of us are impressed when we are treated special by businesses that we buy from? I’m always sensitive to any treatment that tells me that a business actually is trying to help me get what I want. And I would suspect that most people think the same way.

Here’s what we always have to remember, ‘people hate being sold’ but they love to ‘buy’. So it's in our best interest and their's to help them buy the goods or services that they want. And one of the best and easiest ways to accomplish this is to treat them so well that they want to stay longer and come back more offer.

So what I’m introducing here is another way to impress your clients and that's with what I call ‘station cards’. Now what I do is take the card and write the clients name on it BIG so you and they can see it.

This gives them an incredible feeling of importance and if it happened to be a first time customer, you won’t be able to forget what their name is.

As I stated on another page on the website, people love to hear their own name, so when they see that you’ve taken the time to write it on a card and it’s visible to all … well, let’s just say that you’ve got them hooked.

And the whole purpose of delivering exceptional customer service is to keep your clients coming back to you. You want to develop loyalty with them that's so strong that they won’t go anywhere else. And you can if you’ll utilize some simple but powerful strategies like this one.

Station Card

These cards have a very nice image printed on them as you can see; it’s Pensacola Beach where I live. And these are already printed for you to make your life easier. Now the cost is $.35 each with a minimum order of 100, so for $35 you have a lot of customers that you can wow. And that’s the name of the game.

We must keep in mind that a new customer cost 7 times more to bring in, as opposed to taking care of the clients that we already have. There is a cost associated with being in business, but it’s up to each and every business person to minimize that cost. And this is exactly what we’ve done with this site; given hairdressers an economical way to market and build their hair salon business with solid customer service skills.
